Joan Price – www.JoanPrice.com – returned to the show.  No wonder!  She calls herself an “advocate for ageless sexuality.”  Her award-winning  books “Naked at Our Age: Talking Out Loud about Senior Sex” and “Better Than I Ever Expected: Straight Talk about Sex after Sixty,” are filled with excellent, sexy, wise information for folks of any age!  Dr. Diana and Joan went from BDSM (“50 Shades of Grey” included) to more vanilla, more romantic sex.  The importance of silliness in the bedroom was explored with smiles!  Joan Price will come back next week for Part 2.

April Masini – www.AskApril.com – once again returned to the program.  (See July 11^th for a description of Part 1).  More provocative topics were discussed: cougars dating younger men, dating outside your political party, opposites attracting, cautionary notes re online dating, dating as a shy person, managing expectations in a relationship, and long distance dating were featured.  April has abundant advice – advice that is sound and realistic!  Fortunately, she’ll return to the show in about two months.

David Steinberg is a Master of Erotic Art – in more ways than one! www.DavidSteinberg.us This year he has been designated by the Seattle Erotic Art Festival (www.SeattleErotic.org), SEAF, to receive an award to commemorate an artist who has made a meaningful contribution to the history and development of erotic art.  His beautiful book “EROTIC by NATURE” is available on Amazon.  On today’s show Dr. Diana and David focused onOVERCOMING SEXUAL SHAME (also a workshop he will give on Sunday, June 17^th at Noon at SEAF).  As we resolve sexual shame, we are better able to experience greater intimacy.  As David states, most of us learned that our sexual feelings and desires were wrong – too weak, too strong, inappropriate, immoral, unnatural, misdirected. We also talked about his photographs of people with disabilities and their sexuality.  These folks are often ignored, ridiculed, and fetishized by mainstream culture. Once again, this program wants to empower you to take actions that will lead toward healing, toward creating the intimate and erotic relationships you deserve!

Monogamy: Do you? Don’t you? Whose definition do you use?  How ‘bout “monogamish”? For any of these options, the couple needs transparency and good communication. Re-entering the dating world: If you want to date and have a relationship with a great person, you must start by being a great person yourself.  Some inner work, professional therapy may be necessary.  Lou points out how important traits of kindness and appreciation are.  In fact, what you don’t feed, dies.

An articulate, informed, and entertaining guest, Dr. Hernando Chaves (www.DrHernandoChaves.com), returned to LOVE, LUST, & LAUGHTER.  He and Dr. Diana talked about last month’s meeting of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality where he served as Conference Chair.  They focused on two of the presentations: “How Explicit Sexual Media Shapes and Reflects Desire,” and “Vice, Virtue and the Brain’s Pleasure Circuits.”  There are, of course, misuses of porn – but also benefits.  As for the brain’s pleasure circuits (some 600 million years old), stress in the womb, in early childhood, can affect attachment and pleasure in adult relationships.  There’s so much more…Tune-in!
